StillSharp? - Privacy Policy

InstantDetect Solutions, Inc. (“InstantDetect,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) has developed and operates the StillSharp? mobile application (“StillSharp?” or the “App”).
StillSharp? is a personal performance application designed to help users understand how they are performing - compared with their own personal baseline. The App uses interactive challenges to measure reaction time and other performance characteristics and provides results based on the user’s own previous performance.
This Privacy Policy explains what information StillSharp? collects, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you.
By using StillSharp?, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
StillSharp? collects information necessary to operate the App, provide your personal performance results, maintain the App, and improve StillSharp? and its performance-measurement technology.
Depending on the features you use, StillSharp? may collect the following information.
Performance Information
When you use StillSharp?, the App may collect information about your performance during its challenges, including:
- Reaction times;
- Response times;
- Accuracy and correctness of responses;
- Responses to individual challenges;
- Timing and sequence of interactions;
- Scores and performance measurements;
- Challenge results;
- Number and type of challenges completed;
- Session information;
- Performance trends; and
- Other measurements generated by your interactions with the App.
This information is used primarily to establish and maintain your personal performance baseline and to show you how your current performance compares with your own previous performance.
StillSharp? does not use your performance information to rank you against other StillSharp? users or to display comparisons between you and other users.
Apple Health Information
If you choose to connect StillSharp? to Apple Health, StillSharp? may request permission to access the following types of Health information:
- Steps
- Sleep
- Heart rate
StillSharp? does not request access to other Apple Health data.
If you grant permission, authorized Health information is transmitted from your device to our systems and stored in our database.
StillSharp? uses this information as additional context for your own performance results. For example, sleep duration, activity levels, or heart-rate information may be considered alongside your StillSharp? performance results to help provide additional context about your current performance relative to your personal baseline.
StillSharp? does not use your Apple Health information to compare you with other users.
StillSharp? does not sell Apple Health information.
StillSharp? does not use Apple Health information for advertising or marketing.
You can change or revoke StillSharp?’s access to Apple Health information through Apple’s Health settings.
Device and Technical Information
StillSharp? may collect limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the App, including:
- Device type and model;
- Operating system and version;
- App version;
- Device configuration;
- Crash information;
- Diagnostic information; and
- Performance and reliability information.
StillSharp? does not require precise location information to provide its performance challenges.
Information You Provide
If StillSharp? allows you to provide information directly, we may collect information such as your name, email address, account information, or other information you voluntarily provide.
We collect only information reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
2. StillSharp? Does Not Use Eye Detection or Capture Eye Images
StillSharp? does not capture, analyze, or otherwise use images of your eyes.
StillSharp? does not use eye-detection, eye-tracking, nystagmus detection, or similar eye-image technology as part of its performance challenges.
StillSharp?’s performance measurements are based on your interactions with the App and the resulting performance information.
3. Your Personal Baseline
StillSharp? is designed around the concept of “you vs. you.”
Rather than determining how your performance compares with other people, StillSharp? establishes a baseline based on your own previous performance.
As you continue to use the App, StillSharp? may use your previous results to help determine whether your current performance is consistent with, above, or below your personal baseline.
Your baseline and performance information may therefore change over time as you use StillSharp?.
4. How We Use Your Information
We may use information collected through StillSharp? to:
- Provide and operate the App;
- Deliver your performance challenges;
- Calculate your performance results;
- Establish and maintain your personal baseline;
- Show changes in your performance over time;
- Incorporate authorized Apple Health information as additional context for your own results;
- Improve the accuracy, consistency, and usefulness of StillSharp?;
- Improve existing challenges;
- Develop new challenges;
- Identify technical problems;
- Monitor App performance and reliability;
- Maintain App security;
- Provide customer support;
- Understand how users interact with and use the App;
- Develop, test, and improve algorithms and models used by StillSharp?;
- Analyze aggregated or de-identified performance and usage information to improve the App and its technology; and
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
5. Improving StillSharp?
StillSharp? is designed to improve as people use it.
With your permission and consistent with applicable law, InstantDetect may use information generated through your use of StillSharp? to understand how the App performs in real-world use and to improve its challenges, algorithms, models, and overall user experience.
For example, we may use performance information to determine:
- Whether a challenge consistently measures what it is intended to measure;
- Whether a challenge is too easy or too difficult;
- Whether changes to a challenge improve its consistency;
- How reliably the App measures reaction time;
- How the App can better establish an individual’s personal baseline;
- How performance measurements can be interpreted more effectively; and
- How our algorithms and models can be improved.
This use helps us make StillSharp? a better and more useful experience for everyone.
We may combine information from multiple users for these product-development purposes. Such analysis is intended to improve the App and its technology and is not used to rank individual users or compare one user against another within the App.
6. Use of Apple Health Information
Apple Health information is treated as sensitive information and is used only for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
If you authorize StillSharp? to access Apple Health information, we may transmit and store the specific Health information you authorize - currently steps, sleep, and heart rate.
We use this information only as additional context for your own StillSharp? performance.
StillSharp? does not use Apple Health information for:
- Advertising;
- Targeted advertising;
- Marketing;
- Selling information;
- Building advertising profiles;
- Comparing your Health information with other users; or
- Unrelated data-mining activities.
We do not request access to Apple Health information unless it is reasonably necessary for a feature of StillSharp?.
You may revoke StillSharp?’s access to Apple Health at any time through Apple’s Health settings.
7. We Do Not Sell Your Information
InstantDetect does not sell your personal information.
We do not sell your StillSharp? performance information or Apple Health information to advertisers, data brokers, insurance companies, employers, or other third parties.
We do not use your performance information to create advertising profiles about you.
8. Advertising and Tracking
StillSharp? is not designed to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes.
We do not use your reaction-time or performance information for targeted advertising.
We do not use Apple Health information for advertising or marketing.
StillSharp? does not use a third-party advertising or analytics SDK to collect information about your activity across other apps or websites.
If our advertising or tracking practices materially change in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and our App Store privacy disclosures as required.
9. Sharing Your Information
We may share information in limited circumstances.
Service Providers
We may use third-party companies that provide infrastructure and services necessary to operate StillSharp?, such as cloud hosting, database hosting, security, technical support, and similar services.
These providers may process information on our behalf and are expected to protect it and use it only to provide services to us.
We do not authorize these providers to use your StillSharp? information for their own advertising or marketing purposes.
Aggregated or De-identified Information
We may use aggregated, de-identified, or otherwise appropriately protected information to analyze App performance, improve StillSharp?, develop technology, and understand general usage patterns.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law;
- Respond to valid legal requests;
- Protect our rights or property;
- Protect the safety of users or others;
- Investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues; or
- Enforce our agreements and policies.
Business Transfers
If InstantDetect is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information collected through StillSharp?.
Because certain information, including authorized Apple Health information, is transmitted from your device to our systems, we use appropriate security measures designed to protect that information while it is transmitted and stored.
No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide StillSharp?, maintain your personal performance history and baseline, improve the App and its technology, comply with legal obligations, and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Because StillSharp? is designed to understand changes in your performance over time, historical performance information may be retained so that the App can provide meaningful comparisons against your personal baseline.
12. Deleting Your Account and Information
You may request deletion of your StillSharp? profile and associated personal information by contacting:

When you request deletion of your profile, we will delete the personal information associated with your account, subject to applicable law and legitimate business or legal requirements.
Performance information associated with your account is handled differently because we may use performance information to improve StillSharp? and its technology.
When a profile is deleted, the account identifier associated with the performance information is replaced with a randomly generated identifier that has no link back to your original account.
After this process, the performance information can no longer be traced back to your StillSharp? account through that identifier.
13. Unlinking Your Information
Where StillSharp? provides an option to unlink your information from your account, the account identifier associated with your performance information will be replaced with a randomly generated identifier.
After the unlinking process, there is no link maintained between the randomized identifier and your original account.
Unlinking therefore removes the ability to associate the retained performance information with your StillSharp? account.
Unlike deletion, unlinking does not require us to delete the performance information itself.
14. Your Privacy Choices
You have choices regarding the information StillSharp? accesses and uses.
Apple Health
You can choose whether to grant StillSharp? access to Apple Health information and can control the categories of information that StillSharp? may access.
You can change or revoke those permissions through Apple’s Health settings.

You may request deletion or, where available, unlinking of your account-associated information by contacting:

15. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, California law may provide additional privacy rights.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, these rights may include the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect;
- Request access to personal information;
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- Request deletion of personal information; and
- Receive information about how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed.
InstantDetect does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
We also do not use StillSharp? performance information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights provided by applicable law.
16. European and Other International Privacy Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with applicable data-protection laws, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information.
Depending on applicable law, these may include rights to:
- Access your personal information;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Request deletion;
- Restrict processing;
- Object to certain processing;
- Receive certain information in a portable format; and
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Where required by applicable law, we will identify the legal basis on which we process personal information.
17. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable data-protection laws require a legal basis for processing, we may rely on:
- Consent, where you have given us permission;
- Performance of the App, where processing is necessary to provide StillSharp? to you;
- Legitimate interests, where permitted by law, including improving, securing, maintaining, and developing StillSharp?; and
- Legal obligations, where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent subject to applicable law.
18. Children’s Privacy
StillSharp? is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
19. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this policy.
If we make a material change to how we collect or use personal information, we may provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
